"The 5 Elements in Yin Yoga" is a workshop series of five specifically designed workshops that will be running throughout the year 2020. Yin is the feminine, dark, passive, receptive, reflective, withdrawn, cool, introspective aspects of life. Yin yoga was developed to penetrate deep into connective tissue expanding flexibility while invigorating the energy centers of the body (nadis) to release blockages and increase your energy flow. Focusing on static movement, breath work (Pranayama) and meditation to create a profoundly deep and rewarding practice. NOT use your muscles and passive poses are held for several minutes.





Each 2 Hour workshop is designed to energise and balance our Meridian line system and is themed around the element of the particular season. Integrating the Chinese Five Elements into our practice enriches Yin Yoga as a relieving modality, as we are each an embodiment of Earth, Fire, Water, Metal & Wood. You will also learn more about the five transformational elements of mind, body and emotion from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective.
